Accession of Moscow apricot cultural population gene pool: expeditions to Central Asia

Abstract

It is necessary to achieve the accession and expansion of the Moscow apricots gene pool. For this purpose, two expeditions have been conducted to Central Asia: in 2012 to Kyrgyzstan and in 2014 to Tajikistan. The diversity of apricots and their resistance to fungi diseases were investigated. The collected seeds were sown in the nursery of Vladimir region. Now the apricot seedlings are tasted in Moscow and adjacent regions.
