Abstract

For expansion of assortment of decorative plants in the conditions of Central Russia the essential introduction new introduced to the culture of plants that do not have commercial value, but until tested in the collections of scientific institutions. Currently, tree peonies are not spread enough in Russia landscaping, they are for many gardeners remain expensive exotic. And there are two main reasons. The first one is difficulty of breeding of tree peonies. The second one is a practical absence of domestic planting material. Today the Russian market sells seedlings from China, Japan, different countries of Europe, which, unfortunately, do not possess sufficient winter hardiness and frost resistance.
