Adaptive selection strategy of chrysanthemum gardens in the south of the Russian Far East

Abstract

For the first time in Russia developed and implemented a strategy for the creation of adaptive varieties of garden chrysanthemum. Using introgressive hybridization in the first and subsequent generations of hybrids helped improve the genetic basis of initial breeding material and solve the problem of the individual and the complex valuable features. The increased of valuable features and the segregation of the positive transgressions took place at gradual combination of the polygenes winter hardiness and the dominant alleles of resistance to Puccinia horiana when creating multihybrids.
